Danny Zuko (John Travolta), leader of the greaser gang "T-Birds" of Rydell High, falls in love with a goody-two-shoes girl named Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John) over the summer. They thought she'd be leaving and would never see each other again but, to their luck, she begins to attend Rydell High School. She is immediately accepted into the group "Pink Ladies" and shortly Danny and she are reacquainted. Grease cast. Grease full movie. If this movie was made in todays era it may not stand as strong as it does now but you must keep in mind that it is a film that is almost 30 years old. It is a staple in American pop culture. It is a cult classic if nothing else. A timeless one at that. Please don't get me wrong. I'm not one of those that is just "ALL ABOUT" this movie. This movie came out the year I was born for crying out loud. But there is a place in everyone that can relate on some level to this movie. Whether it be the music, the attitudes of the sexes or the time itself.
Good acting, awesome soundtrack and one of the most beautiful women of her time Olivia Newton-John. It's down right stupid that this film has such a low rating by the viewers that have voted. Again let me restate the fact that I'm not some dorky kid that wishes he would have grown up in the fifties, or some individual that has Grease posters up on all my walls 'cause I don't (not that there is anything wrong with either. I'm not even 29 years old and I'm saying this. Everyone I know feels pretty much the same way including my girlfriend who is only 23 by the way. It truly is timeless. I encourage all to see at least once! JUST BEING HONEST.

I'm a youngish white guy with quite strong curly hair, which I normally keep quite short because the curl ends up becoming too tight and also kind of frizzy if that makes sense. As a result I was at the barber's on Saturday and was lucky enough to get the old Italian owner cutting my hair. He suggested I try hair oil to soften my hair and keep it healthy etc. and used some Linetti hair oil (this stuff:) which was great but leaves a distinctive lavender fragrance for the rest of the day - nice enough, but not exactly my thing. Most of the hair oils I've seen for sale since, seem to be aimed at women so I am a tad worried they will be similarly fragranced. So I was hoping Reddit might be able to recommend some similar (non-greasy, masculine/neutral smell) products to try. I'm based in the UK, but even if particular brands aren't available here, it will help to know what I'm looking for.

Greatest hits. Most of the songs in this movie are fun. Olivia Newton John has a beautiful voice.
One message of the movie is that the girl should change for the boy but the boy can stay the same. True, Danny comes out in a letter sweater but he still has his tight jeans, greased hair and t shirt. When he sees Sandy looking like a total slut he throws away the sweater. He displays a macho attitude while Sandy has become what he wants her to be. Sandy was going to postpone sex until after marriage. At the end as they drive off it is pretty clear that they are going to have sex.
I would have preferred it if they had met in the middle. Danny should have kept the sweater on and not had his hair quite so greasy. Sandy should have been looked much less like a hooker. Perhaps jeans and a t shirt with her hair still in a ponytail.
Danny makes some attempts to change during the movie but in the end remains the same. Sandy totally changes her values and the way she dresses, does her hair, and acts to please Danny.
The sexist message here is very obvious.
Before anyone comments No I would not like the ending to be totally opposite with Danny changing totally for Sandy. I would like them to meet somewhere in the middle.
